CREATIVE TEAM
PAUL WALKER (Writer, Director) was born and bred in Dublin… Drimnagh in fact… the only place in Europe that has a Castle with its original moat around it (They filmed The Tudors there). Paul’s stage work includes site specific works Adrenalin, an homage to the seventies and co-writing God’s Grace, an eerie Christmas fable both for Semper Fi Ireland. Other stage works include the smash hit comedies of Didi’s Big Day and Costa Lads and Cloudy Christmas, a performance play for Children. He recently wrote the multi award winning drama STARDUST which won 4 IFTAS (Irish Oscars). He also writes for the award winning series The Clinic and is currently developing two series, one for Parallel Films and one for Granada Television. He is also developing some new site specific work for Semper Fi Ireland, a one man show and has just developed a pre-teen movie script. Acting work includes Richard the Third, Costa Lads, Frugal Comforts, Tabloid Man, Rebel Heart amongst others. Paul is delighted to be working with IAC – the first of many he hopes- and having his American premiere of Ladies and Gents in Central Park, New York.

CHRIS RUMERY (Costume Design) Previous costume design for productions include: (Rus)h director Kristen Martin, A Hard Heart director Will Pomerantz, Rock Doves at the Irish Art Center with director Ian McElhinney, As You Like It at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, director Kurt Rhoads; 365/Days 365/Plays, director Shira Milikowsk; Food for Fish, director Alexis Poledouris; The Scams of Scapin, director Chris O’Connor; Les Bourgeois Avant-Gardes, director Emma Griffin; and A Lie of the Mind, director Michael Sexton. She received her MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
SINÉAD MC KENNA (Lighting Designer) Sinéads’ previous work with Semper Fi includes God’s Grace, Adrenalin and Ladies and Gents for which she won the Irish Theatre Award for ‘Best Lighting Design’. Other recent designs include Attempts on her life, Dream of Autumn and Improbable Frequency for Rough Magic, and she is currently in production with Life is a Dream, Pentecost and Spokesong all for Rough Magic. Other recent work includes Blackbird and Last Days of The Celtic Tiger (Landmark), Circus (Barabbus), Private Lives (The Gate Theatre) and Howie The Rookie and Finders Keepers (The Abbey). Other designs include Macbeth, Philadelphia Here I Come, Othello and How Many Miles to Babylon (Second Age), Skindeep (Guna Nua)-Nominated Best Lighting Design Irish Theatre Awards, Shooting Gallery (Bedrock), The Snow Queen and Merry Christmas Betty Ford (Lyric Theatre), The Woman who Walked into Doors (Upbeat Productions) and Diarmaid and Grainne for Passion Machine.
Dance and Opera designs include Does she take Sugar for Jean Butler, Swept (CoisCeim), As a Matter of Fact (Dance Theatre of Ireland) and La Boheme for Co-Opera.
IVAN BIRTHISTLE (Sound Designer/Composer) has been composing for theatre for several years, mostly as part of an ongoing collaborative partnership with Vincent Doherty.
