Irish Language I: Introduction (Section A)

8 weekly sessions beginning Monday, April 10th, 2017
A first course in the Irish language, introducing basic vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and practical use in conversation.

A class for those with some basic knowledge of the Irish language, designed to further the students' vocabulary and understanding of Irish.

Irish Language III and IV: Intermediate

For those with at least two prior semesters of Irish language or the equivalent. This is a combined Irish III and IV level class at an intermediate level.

Irish Language V: Advanced

Tae Agus Comhrá (Tea and Conversation)
Led by Paul Ferris, Wednesday, 8 pm – 9 pm
FREE
8 weekly sessions beginning Wednesday, April 12th, 2017
Whether you are an absolute beginner, a native speaker, or somewhere in-between, make sure to drop by our comhrá or conversation get-together for a cup of tea and a chat as Gaeilge! A great supplement to our Irish language program and a chance to meet others interested in comhrá and a bit of craic.

Paul Ferris is a graduate of the NYU Irish and Irish American Studies MA program, and has taught the Irish language with NYU’s Speaking Freely program and at Drew University. He studied at An Acadamh in County Galway and Oideas Gael in County Donegal, and has served on the executive board of the North American Association of Celtic Language Teachers.
