On Sunday, March 16th, 2008 we'll celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day by opening our doors for a FREE day of Irish music and language workshops for adults and children, performances, film screenings as well as an exhibition on the history of Saint Patrick.
Our annual Saint Patrick’s Open day is a one-of-a-kind “hands on” opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic Irish arts and culture for an entire afternoon FREE OF CHARGE, the perfect fun-filled outing for the whole family! Beginning at 12 noon with music and dance performances by Irish Arts Center students, the day will also feature a screening of acclaimed documentary The Legend of St. Patrick (narrated by Liam Neeson, with Gabriel Byrne as the voice of St. Patrick), and Absolutely Irish!, an all-star concert film and documentary featuring performances by the world’s leading traditional Irish musicians, filmed live at the Irish Arts Center in April 2007. Other performances include Celtic harpist Mia Theodoratus, and contemporary singer/songwriter Ashley Davis, as well as live traditional Irish music throughout the day.
